Next week, Congress returns from August recess. The Senate is expected to consider the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal 2009 (S. 3001). Meanwhile, the House plans to take up the No Child Left Inside Act -- a bill to expand environmental education programs (H.R. 3036) and a bill (H.R. 3667) to commission a study of portions of two rivers in northern Vermont for possible inclusion in the National Wild and Scenic Rivers system.
